Torquay

Torquay is an official starting point of the Great Ocean Road and is known around the world as the surfing capital of Australia. It is the home of the iconic Bells Beach and the birthplace of surfing brands Rip Curl and Quicksilver.
Torquay offers more than just amazing surf; you can go for a nature walk along beautiful sandy beaches beneath towering cliffs, snorkel around Point Danger Marine Sanctuary (don't be afraid of the name), or visit the Australian National Surfing Museum.
