Your adventure kicks off with a warm welcome gathering, marking the start of your incredible journey across the country and along the world’s longest stretch of straight railway. Settle in for a leisurely afternoon as you get acquainted with your fellow travelers aboard the iconic Indian Pacific. As the train glides away from Perth, leaving the Indian Ocean behind and heading towards the Pacific, enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the rails. Later, indulge in a delicious onboard dinner showcasing contemporary Australian cuisine, expertly crafted with seasonal, regional ingredients.

Wake up to a breathtaking sunrise over Australia’s largest outback town, Kalgoorlie. This morning, step back into the gold rush era and uncover the fascinating history sparked by Paddy Hannan’s 1893 discovery, one of the most significant in Australian history. Visit the impressive Super Pit mine, a modern-day marvel that stands as a testament to the town’s golden legacy. Reboard the train later in the morning for a delightful brunch, then unwind for the rest of the day at your leisure. Relax and enjoy the exceptional hospitality as you gaze out at the vast, seemingly endless Nullarbor Plain. As the train crosses borders and time zones, entering South Australia before dinner, the journey continues. Later in the evening, the train stops in the near-deserted town of Cook, where you’ll enjoy a nightcap, a cozy bonfire, and a stargazing experience like no other.

Spend the morning travelling through the pastoral lands and communities of remote South Australia as the Indian Pacific cruises past the Flinders Rangers, Spencer Gulf and the Adelaide Plains. Breakfast and lunch are both served on board. Mid-afternoon, the train pulls into Two Wells, where you’ll disembark and transfer in comfortable coaches for a short ride to the world-renowned, wineproducing region of the Barossa Valley. You’ll spend the evening at Seppeltsfield Winery, delighting in a signature dining experience in the vintage cellar. A traditional ‘Firing of the Barrel’ display is part of the evening,  as well as a food and wine pairing curated by Executive Chef Owen Andrews, highlighting regional produce and traditional methods  that reflect the story of the Barossa. Here, Platinum guests are  also treated to a special 100-year-old wine tasting experience. After dinner, you’ll return to the Indian Pacific, continuing your rail journey through the night.

Overnight, the Indian Pacific crosses into New South Wales, and you'll wake up in the historic town of Broken Hill. Start your day with a hearty breakfast, preparing for the adventures that await in the iconic Silver City. Choose from four unique Off Train Experiences, offering guided tours that delve into the rich history, art, and culture of Australia’s first heritage-listed city. After your morning explorations, return to the train for a relaxing lunch as you take in the ever-changing landscapes of regional New South Wales. In the evening, enjoy a final gourmet dinner on board, savoring every moment of your last night on this unforgettable rail journey through the heart of Australia.

United We Stand and Miners Memorial: Broken Hill, born from the wealth beneath its surface, became a hub for mining, a tough and often dangerous industry. Visit the heritage-listed Broken Hill Trades Hall, the birthplace of the city's labour movement. Watch a live performance by local actors depicting the early mining story and life in Broken Hill. Under the "United we stand" banner, the Union successfully fought for the 35-hour work week and improved safety and fairness, shaping modern Australian working conditions. The striking Miners Memorial honors over 800 miners who lost their lives here. This 54-metre structure dominates the city's highest point on the Line of Lode, symbolically tracking the path of the sun. From the lookout, enjoy sweeping outback vistas and a unique view of the Indian Pacific stretching below.

Living Desert: Broken Hill may seem an unlikely creative hub, but it has earned a spot on the global art scene. This town attracted international artists who crafted the iconic Living Desert Sculptures, blending art with the unique landscape. From October to March, visitors can take a self-guided walk through the Living Desert Reserve, home to 12 striking sandstone sculptures, each with its own story. Set on a majestic hilltop within a 180-hectare flora and fauna sanctuary, the sculptures offer breathtaking views of the NSW outback.
 
The Regional Art Gallery: Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery is the oldest regional art gallery in New South Wales. The gallery offers a diverse annual program, featuring locally curated exhibitions alongside touring shows from major cultural institutions. Visitors can explore an extensive collection of Australian colonial works by artists such as James Coutts Michie and James Ashton, as well as early 20th-century paintings by Margaret Preston and Arthur Streeton. Contemporary works by renowned artists like Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, Rick Amor, and Pro Hart are also on display.

Bells Milk Bar: Step back in time and indulge your nostalgia at Bells Milk Bar, a beloved Broken Hill icon. Originally a confectioner in 1892, Bells became a milk bar in the late 1930s and remains one of Australia’s last and longest-running milk bars. Crossing the threshold takes you straight to the 1950s, when vanilla malt and lime green soda were all the rage. Not a fan of sweets? No worries! Bells also serves organic single-origin espresso and a selection of herbal teas. As you sip your drink, enjoy a delightful performance by Cindy and Johnny, bringing the 1950s to life with music and charm.

Say goodbye to the Indian Pacific after breakfast, to travel deep into the mountains for this Off  Train Experience. Scenic World includes four phenomenal mountain experiences, from the Scenic Skyway, which takes you over ancient ravines, with 360-degree vistas to the Scenic Cableway that glides over the forest to the valley floor and the Scenic Railway, the steepest passenger railway in the world. Alternatively, stretch your legs on a guided walk with spectacular views from numerous lookouts along the trail. Both experiences end at Echo Point Lookout, perched on the edge of the escarpment in Katoomba, where a light lunch is served. Complete your journey on a chartered New South Wales rail service (fully hosted by your Indian Pacific crew) into Sydney Central Station.
