Your adventure kicks off with a warm welcome gathering, marking the start of your incredible journey across the country and along the world’s longest stretch of straight railway. Settle in for a leisurely afternoon as you get acquainted with your fellow travelers aboard the iconic Indian Pacific. As the train glides away from Perth, leaving the Indian Ocean behind and heading towards the Pacific, enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the rails. Later, indulge in a delicious onboard dinner showcasing contemporary Australian cuisine, expertly crafted with seasonal, regional ingredients.

Wake up to a breathtaking sunrise over Australia’s largest outback town, Kalgoorlie. This morning, step back into the gold rush era and uncover the fascinating history sparked by Paddy Hannan’s 1893 discovery, one of the most significant in Australian history. Visit the impressive Super Pit mine, a modern-day marvel that stands as a testament to the town’s golden legacy. Reboard the train later in the morning for a delightful brunch, then unwind for the rest of the day at your leisure. Relax and enjoy the exceptional hospitality as you gaze out at the vast, seemingly endless Nullarbor Plain. As the train crosses borders and time zones, entering South Australia before dinner, the journey continues. Later in the evening, the train stops in the near-deserted town of Cook, where you’ll enjoy a nightcap, a cozy bonfire, and a stargazing experience like no other.

Spend the morning travelling through the pastoral lands and communities of remote South Australia as the Indian Pacific cruises past the Flinders Rangers, Spencer Gulf and the Adelaide Plains. Breakfast and lunch are both served on board. Mid-afternoon, the train pulls into Two Wells, where you’ll disembark and transfer in comfortable coaches for a short ride to the world-renowned, wineproducing region of the Barossa Valley. You’ll spend the evening at Seppeltsfield Winery, delighting in a signature dining experience in the vintage cellar. A traditional ‘Firing of the Barrel’ display is part of the evening,  as well as a food and wine pairing curated by Executive Chef Owen Andrews, highlighting regional produce and traditional methods  that reflect the story of the Barossa. Here, Platinum guests are  also treated to a special 100-year-old wine tasting experience. After dinner, you’ll return to the Indian Pacific, continuing your rail journey through the night.

Overnight, the Indian Pacific crosses into New South Wales, and you'll wake up in the historic town of Broken Hill. Start your day with a hearty breakfast, preparing for the adventures that await in the iconic Silver City. Choose from four unique Off Train Experiences, offering guided tours that delve into the rich history, art, and culture of Australia’s first heritage-listed city. After your morning explorations, return to the train for a relaxing lunch as you take in the ever-changing landscapes of regional New South Wales. In the evening, enjoy a final gourmet dinner on board, savoring every moment of your last night on this unforgettable rail journey through the heart of Australia.

Historic Day Dream Mine: Experience life as an early miner with a visit to the historic Day Dream Mine near Silverton. Don a miner's helmet and headlamp for an underground tour, walking the same tunnels as 1880s Cornish silver miners. Explore a replica miner’s hut to learn about their tough living conditions. Enjoy freshly baked scones at the tearoom before returning to the Indian Pacific.

Taste of the Outback: Learn about native bush tucker at Living Desert State Park with local chef Lee Cecchin, who will introduce you to local plants and their uses. Wander through the Broken Hill Sculpture Symposium before heading to The Old Saltbush for a tasting of native spices and fruits. Sip on Mojito mocktails as Chef Lee explains the flavors, origins, and traditional uses of these unique ingredients.

Shelita, Queen of the Outback: Join local drag queen Shelita Buffet on a fun, lively tour of Broken Hill, where she shares the town’s mining history, iconic buildings, and unique art installations. Say goodbye to the Indian Pacific after breakfast, to travel deep into the mountains for this Off  Train Experience. Scenic World includes four phenomenal mountain experiences, from the Scenic Skyway, which takes you over ancient ravines, with 360-degree vistas to the Scenic Cableway that glides over the forest to the valley floor and the Scenic Railway, the steepest passenger railway in the world. Alternatively, stretch your legs on a guided walk with spectacular views from numerous lookouts along the trail. Both experiences end at Echo Point Lookout, perched on the edge of the escarpment in Katoomba, where a light lunch is served.
